    School Council

Pupil voice is highly regarded within our school.

The St Thomas school council are elected by the senior leaders following an election process. This involves children (who put themselves forward) presenting their own ideas about how they can help improve the school and represent all pupils within our school.

What do the children think about School Council?

    • They think it is important that as a Councillor they represent everyone in school and carry forward ideas from their peers in class.
    • They believe they should be an outstanding role model to others in school.
    • All think it is important to raise money for school and other school supported charities.
    • School Council is fun, and they enjoy coming to meetings to discuss important things.

Our school council meets with the Birmingham faith leaders group to discuss ways St Thomas brings faiths in the UK together, sharing ideas, values and stories.
